AVRETT IS A COLLECTION OF EXUISITE HANDCRAFTED FURNITURE, LIGHTING AND ACCESSORIES THAT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1980. THEIR PIECES ARE BENCH MADE BY MASTER CRAFTSMEN AND ARTIST BLACKSMITHS, AND THEY EMBRACE THE VALUE AND HISTORY OF FINELY CRAFTED AMERICAN FURNITURE AND LIGHTING. THEY USE OLD WORLD TECHNIQUES WITH MODERN DAY CONCEPTS OF HEIRLOOM QUALITY WORK. SOME NOTABLE COMMISSIONS AVRETT HAD DONE IN THE RECENT PAST INCLUDE WORK FOR PRIVATE RESIDENCE IN BEIJING CHINA AS WELL AS OUTFITTING BOTH THE FORTUNY SHOWROOMS IN VENICE, ITALY AND NYC. Paola Lenti, a home and outdoor furniture line, is the brain child of internationally renowned Italian designer Francesco Rota. The company was founded in 2004 and has consistently won prestigious design awards all over the globe each year since its inception.

The concept behind Paola Lenti is the creation of an inherent harmony through design, where opposites balance and attract. Traditional and contemporary design elements are combined to create a serene coexistence of seemingly diverse influences. His designs are both durable and comfortable, and are available in shocking bright colors as well as neutrals.

Francesco Rota also has a passion for incorporating cutting-edge technology into his designs. Paola Lenti furniture utilizes high-tech materials that are responsibly sourced from recycled post-consumer goods. All of Paola Lenti’s natural materials are responsibly sourced from sustainable forests, and finishing treatments are non-toxic.

Phillip Nimmo is a noted American interior and furniture designer based in Los Angeles, CA. Phillip established his iconic design firm in 1990, and began his career as a residential interior designer. He subsequently launched a product line featuring bespoke home furnishings and iron work.

Inspiration for Phillip’s designs has come from client’s requests for custom furniture, lighting, fire screens, accessories, outdoor furnishings and ironwork. His designs incorporate a sense of traditionalism, but are also elegant and contemporary. His unique combinations of sturdy elements such as ironwork with opulent organic materials like sliced agate create an air of grounded elegance.

Phillip Nimmo’s line of luxury bespoke home furnishings have been featured in many publications including in Architectural Digest, Luxe, Objekt, Elle Decor, Casaviva, Interior Design, and Traditional Home. His designs have also been feature in many international publications.

Shakuff is a blown and fused glass lighting collective that features the work of glass artists from all over the world. Their products are entirely bespoke, meaning each piece is completely unique. Shakuff’s diverse collection of glass styles including sconces, pendant lighting, chandeliers, and more.

Shakuff products cater to a diverse range of aesthetics. We are particularly enamored with their “Breath” collection, which features organic shapes that are traditionally crafted by master artisans using time-honored techniques. “Breath” designs come in a multitude of shapes and sizes, and are a combination of classic lines executed in clean glass and contemporary textures.

Lifelong friends Daniel Hellman and Eric Chang are the founders of Hellman-Chang, a Brooklyn, NY-based company that has been leading the way in furniture design for the past six years.  Hellman and Chang are completely self trained, and all of their pieces are individually crafted in their 11,000 square foot studio in Bushwick, New York. We are truly inspired by their dedication to hand-made culture and bold, sleek designs.

Hellman-Chang has won multiple awards, received abundant press, and worldwide recognition in their industry. Their furniture has graced the residences of celebrities and the social elite worldwide. Their pieces are utilized in the interiors of luxury hotels such as The Setai, The Waldorf Astoria, The Ritz Carlton and The Four Seasons, among many others. Their designs have  also been featured in films and TV shows such as Sex and The City 2, Gossip Girl, and on the set of The Today Show.

This dynamic duo has a diverse portfolio of furniture design including beds, side tables, dressers, shelving, and more. French contemporary artist, Bernard Rene Guillot, was born and raised in Avignon, France. There he studied Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to Paris where he worked in the fashion industry for major design houses such as Guy Laroche, Dior, and Paco Rabanne.

Guillot has traveled extensively throughout his career and has absorbed inspiration from the far corners of the globe. A true Renaissance man, he’s also dabbled in music criticism for Opera International Magazine, designed interiors for Italian showrooms, private homes, and also, design inspiration for lines of handmade luxury goods.

Painting has emerged as Guillot’s most passionate form of expression. His methodology is a combination of serendipity and personal visions reminiscent of his global travel and universal experiences. Guillot starts with a basic concept, and allows that concept to organically multiply and widen across a canvas, creating walls of space that envelop the viewer in an intimate personal reality.

Guillot blurs the lines of the tangible world with his bold brush strokes and metamorphosing colors to create a balanced symbiosis where the real and the surreal can exist in perfect harmony. His paintings are an experiential and distinct moment in time. Guillot notes the actual time and dates that his paintings are produced and fully realized on each piece, elevating each piece to an irreproducible vessel of material, vision and energy.

Adolfo Abejón is an internationally acclaimed furniture designer based in Barcelona. His design concept merges humble aesthetics and quality philosophy; the conscious essence of the materials he uses, and the comprehension of their honesty. Abejón believes that calmness and purity are two concepts that can peacefully coexist with their environment, and these fundamental principles are reflected in his design.

Abejón’s pieces are completely handmade in limited short series and Abejón is a firm believer in small production. Creating his designs in small, limited batches ensures that work is produced with respect for the local craft and that his creations highlight the communication between every aspect involved in producing the finished product. It also encourages a collaborative mentality throughout the process of production.

Abejón’s sculptural furniture is crafted from diverse and unique materials such as Marquina marble rock extracted from North Spain, cast bronze, iron, and sheepskin. You can view more of his designs here.

Polish American sculptor, illustrator and designer Karolina Maszkiewicz is a Los Angeles transplant that was born and raised in Torun, Poland. She started her career in the fashion industry after to moving to LA to study design, and worked for several major fashion brands and opened her own well-loved retail store in Laurel Canyon.

After joining the studio of an American artist based in Malibu, Karolina transitioned into sculpture and began to develop her own body of work. Karolina’s sculpture work is extremely diverse and ranges from large floral installations to kinetic sculptures. Karolina’s work pays homage to 20^th century female artists such as Niki de Saint Phalle, Gego, and Eva Hesse, and also brings issues such as the current extreme drought in her adopted hometown of Los Angeles to light.

Karolina’s Diving Rod sculptures such as “Kyanaite”, featured above, were created with the intent to serve as energy surveyors that act as a conduit for desire between object and viewer. The viewer’s energy moves the rod towards what he or she instinctively needs; be it love, affection, or inspiration.

Her hanging mobile featured above, “Trapped…”, is a delicately balanced amalgamation of bronze, foil, and stainless steel. It’s extremely lightweight and reacts sensitively to environmental movement.

Karolina’s sculpture work has recently begun to show in galleries across the U.S., and is currently available for sale on 1^st Dibs. We can’t wait to see how her work progresses and transforms, and would love to incorporate her work into one of our client’s interiors!
